CRICKET: The Queensland Bulls Masters may have secured victory but for legendary Australian cricketer Allan Border it was 'a win for everyone'.

"I think it was a good crowd, It was a great group of players that came up for the game," he said.

"The conditions were fantastic  despite the rain earlier in the week. All and all it was a successful few days for us."

Border was happy to see the Mackay community show their support for the Bravehearts foundation.

"Its been fantastic, people in Mackay should give themselves a pat on the back," he said.

"We raised lots of money for a good cause so its a win for everyone."

NSW Baggy Blues player Brett Lee said after the game it was fantastic to raise awareness for a good cause.

"It was exciting, result didn't go our way, we are here for Bravehearts wasn't about winning or losing," he said.

"We have had an absolute cracker of a few days. We are off tomorrow but Mackay put on a good show for us."

Lee admitted he got a kick out of the crowd calling out to him when he was near the sideline during the match.

"It was Brilliant, It is always nice to get away from the big smoke, get out to the see the real people of the world," he said.

"I really enjoyed it and hopefully we get the chance to come back again."

Queensland Bulls Masters player Joe Burns was a sensation with the bat in the game securing a century and entertaining the crowd with some big shots to lead his team to victory.

"It was a great night for us, the blues and for Bravehearts. I enjoyed being out there on the field," he said.

"It's a great venue and filled with great people. I would love to come back, hopefully we can have more nights like this."

Burns stated he was honoured to share the field with some of the greats of the game.

"To see all the legends roll their arm over and have a hit was brilliant," he said.

"It was awesome to share the field with such high calibre players."
