Dancers tap into top results
STUDENTS at Dee Jays School of Dance received impressive results from their latest examinations.
The girls performed in Proserpine on July 8 and overlooking was Singaporean examiner Miss Ching Ching Teo.
"The children had a fabulous time preparing for the exams,” studio owner Denise Hadley said.
"We are pleased that the marks have shown both the high technical standard of the studio and also for the students musicality and performance.
"All children undertook examinations rather than the optional and less challenging 'class awards' to showcase the high level of dance ability provided at Dee Jays.”
Ms Hadley said some students received 10/10 for recall, technique and performance with the lowest score 70/100, just five marks short of a distinction.
Dancers are now preparing for their annual concerts in their respective towns. The next concerts will be held in Bowen and Collinsville in late October and in Proserpine in November.
