Speakers confirmed for business event

KEY representatives from North Queensland's largest mine and infrastructure projects will converge in Bowen on October 9 for the 2014 North Queensland Bulk Ports Major Projects Summit.

Major projects across the Whitsunday region will be discussed at the summit, including Galilee Basin projects, Abbot Point Port Development and Northern Bowen Basin mine projects.

Whitsundays Marketing and Development Limited CEO Danial Rochford said the summit would be another great event for industry to learn about the latest updates and procurement opportunities for current and future projects in the Whitsunday region.

"We are excited to announce the great line-up today, with a fantastic range of speakers representing major proponents in our region, as well as federal, state and local government," Mr Rochford said.

"It is invaluable to attend for our local business community not only to hear first-hand how major projects are progressing but also to network with industry leaders and to get an understanding of existing and future supply chain and procurement opportunities across our region.

"We have secured a fantastic line-up of speakers presenting on the importance, delivery and progress of current and future projects," Mr Rochford said.
