Ultimate Groovin the Moo survival guide

ONE of the region's biggest and most highly anticipated events of the year, Groovin the Moo is ready to rock on Sunday.

Festival promoter Steve Halpin said everything was on track for the Townsville leg of the festival.

"The plan is that by Saturday night, when it gets dark, everything is ready to go," he said. "We're actually in Bendigo on Saturday, but everything's going in - stages, fencing, toilets and tents are all on their way up."

Mr Halpin urged revellers to secure their tickets ahead of the day to avoid missing out. He said to prepare for a huge day of music.

"It's the fastest-selling event we've ever had," he said.

"(Tickets are) selling fast, but you can still by tickets online or buy physical tickets through Universal fashion stores.

"Look after yourselves and your friends. It's a long day.

"Wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water. We continue to really appreciate the support of the people in Townsville."

Aside from the music, festival fashions are also set to impress this year with bold, bright colours and animal prints tipped to be the most popular picks.
